Even though we are still waiting for the flying cars and other futuristic technologies that were predicted in the hit-movie ‘Back to the Future II’, it is true that there are a lot of things that were accurately predicted in the movies. Beyond the incredible and well-known ‘Hoverboard’ the anti-gravity skateboard used by Marty McFly to slide down futuristic scenarios of “Back to the Future II” there are other technologies which have only partially become a reality.
Even though that not everything has become reality there are many artifact which have been predicted in the movies where Marty McFly has the incredible technology to travel in space-time. One of those predicted technologies are the flat screens in 1989 when the film was aired, flat screens were something impossible but today, these advanced televisions are nearly a part of every home.
But if the hoverboard and flat screens aren’t enough, there are more technologies that were predicted by the writers of the movie over 26 years ago. One of those technologies is videoconferencing thanks to programs like Skype. The writers of the movie anticipated incredible things that have become a reality today. But there is more.
The futuristic writers anticipated technologies such as universe card readers which allow a person to pay nearly for everything. Another thing the writers anticipated is the creation and implementation of holograms in the movie and or advertising industry. Today this technology is something common and goes beyond 3D Movies.
But there is more. Biometrics as a technology was also anticipated by the futuristic writers of ‘Back to the Future II’. In today’s world, this incredible technology works through devices that can scan your face, eyes, and fingerprints. Modern smartphones can do all of that.
There is more people, we cannot forget wearable’s and gadgets such as smart watches, goggles Google Glass and intelligent clothing which is able to dry on its own, repel water, stains and ever dirt. And when you thought that was all there is more from the writers of ‘Back to the Future II’. Even though at the moment it is still a project, NIKE has been working on special edition sneakers just as those in the movie: self-adjusting shoes with laces that are tied automatically.
