In perhaps one of the most dramatic and creative efforts ever given by a group of people, 1,000 musicians from all over Italy ban together under the creative vision of Fabio Zaffagnini creator of Rockin’ 1000in a wildly enthusiastic request for the famous band, the Foo Fighters to come give a show for the dedicated Italian fans in the city of Cesena.
Rockin’ 1000 was underway for nearly a year and through crowd-funding a video was made revealing the more than 1,000 musicians who came together to all play one Foo Fighers song ‘Learn to Fly’ in unison.
Zaffagini concludes the video by saying,
“I guess that this video is gonna be seen by a huge amountof people all over the world but to betrue it’s been conceived just to be addressed just to five people…the FooFighters. You know Italy is a countrywhere dreams cannot easily come true but it’s a land of passion and creativityso what we did in here is just a huge huge miracle. I mean I’ve been working onthis f****** project more than one year and waking up every morning thinkingabout how to make it real and this is all that we got, 1,000 people. 1,000rockers that came from all over the nation at their own expenses and they justdid it for one song; your song. So our goal is to ask you the Foo Fighters tocome and play for us, come and play here and give a concert to all of us inItaly. So what I’m asking right now to all the people around me is to just makesome noise for the Foo Fighers…” and the crowd…goes…WILD!
Let’s hope the message gets through to the FooFighters. The concert certainly wouldn’t be wasted on these outrageously dedicated fans.
