For many, poor eyesight is simply a fact of life. But what if there are strategies that can help you work on your vision?
As it turns out, there might be. Check out the seven strategies below that might help you with your eyesight!
Give your eyes regular rest
One of the best things you can do for your eyes is give them regular breaks. This can mean closing them occasionally, or can mean adjusting the brightness of your computer screen.
Take off the glasses every so often
Some people believe that taking occasional breaks from your glasses can actually help your eyes.
Believe it or not, massage in the area around your eyes can help increase circulation, which may help with your vision. Simply gently apply pressure and rub the areas around your eye socket. Other places to massage include right above the inner corner of your eye, your temple, and the back of your skull directly behind your eye sockets.
Try the 20-20-20 rule
If you’re regularly stuck at your computer, try the 20-20-20 rule. What that means is while working on the computer, give your eyes a break every twenty minutes by instead picking something 20 feet away and staring at it for at least 20 seconds.
Regular nature time may also be good for your vision, as natural lighting limits exposure to unnatural light sources that may damage your vision.
Use a warm compress
Pressing a damp, warm cloth against your eyes for up to 30 minutes each day can help moisten dry eyes, which can help address some vision issues.
Foods high in vitamin A, which is essential to good vision, include sweet potatoes and carrots. Adding plenty of each to your diet may help improve your vision.
