It’s Friday night! And what does an introvert do? They swap their work clothes for pajamas, put on some tea, snuggle up with a furry friend, and binge watch Netflix. While this might seem like a depressing way to “bring in the weekend,”, it’s ideal for those who enjoy their solitude.
An artist who understands the appeal of introvert living is Landysh, one half of the drawing duo Lingvistov. As MyModernMet reports, most of Landysh’s illustrations are about the weekend and are largely centered around the idea that Saturday and Sunday are largely meant for relaxing and catching up on sleep.
As one of the artist’s illustrations suggest, an introvert’s idea of being “busy” on a Saturday night is munching on snacks while laying in bed, cuddled up with a pet. It’s also taking long naps and staying up all night to watch just “one more episode.”
Some of Landysh’s other drawings that have made us laugh are of funny dogs, reasons to love someone, and a deep love of sleep. All of her illustrations are available as stationary, prints, and calendars in the Lingvistov online shop.
Following are 10+ of her illustrations:
Did you relate with any of these illustrations? If so, you may just be an introvert. Unlike extroverts, introverts tend to enjoy their solitude, feel most restored when spending time in solitude, and prefer to work on projects alone.
Introverts aren’t prude or anti-social; rather, they tend to be somewhat shy from feeling socially awkward in public settings. Introverts also tend to be highly intelligent and creative people. As a result, it can be difficult “connecting” on deeper topics, as the majority of the public is most interested in Keeping up with the Kardashians and the latest drama in the White House.
